Diane and Charles Gallagher to Receive 2010 National Jewish Health President’s Award

DENVER —

Diane and Charles Gallagher will receive the National Jewish Health President's Award during the Beaux Arts Ball gala on Saturday, March 20, in Denver. The event raises funds for National Jewish Health, the nation's #1 respiratory hospital.

Recipients of the President's Award are prominent leaders in the national business and philanthropic communities who work to further the mission and vision of National Jewish Health and ensure its status as a global leader in the research and treatment of respiratory, immune, cardiac and related diseases. The Gallaghers will receive the award in recognition of their ongoing support and commitment to National Jewish Health, including their work as Grand Marshals of the 1998 Beaux Arts Ball, which shaped all succeeding galas; their support of many National Jewish Health fundraising campaigns; and Mr. Gallagher's service as a member of its Board of Directors from 1998 to 2005.

To attend the 2010 Beaux Arts Ball and honor Diane and Charlie Gallagher while providing vital support to National Jewish Health, contact Terrie Baros at (303) 398-1064 or BarosT@NJHealth.org.

The couple founded the Diane and Charles Gallagher Family Foundation in 1997 with a primary focus on educational opportunities and college scholarships for inner city youth. The Foundation has been a major contributor to many community charities, universities, hospitals and the arts.

Mr. Gallagher is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Gallagher Enterprises LLC, a private equity firm. He had previously owned many companies after acquiring control of the International Minerals and Chemicals Industrial Group and the Milcor Division of Inland Steel in 1986.

Mr. Gallagher has served on a number of boards, including National Jewish Health; Denver Art Museum; Xavier University, Cincinnati; Regis University; Denver Area Council, Boy Scouts of America; Catholic Foundation for the Archdiocese of Denver; Metro Chamber of Commerce; Colorado UpLIFT; Metro State College of Denver Foundation; Alliance for Choice in Education; and the Mizel Museum.
