National Jewish Health Advanced Diagnostic Laboratories Receives Re-Accreditation from College of American Pathologists
DENVER - National Jewish Health Advanced Diagnostic Laboratories has once again earned both accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and certification to ISO 15189, reaffirming the laboratory's commitment to the highest standards of quality, accuracy and patient care. National Jewish Health has maintained these prestigious accreditations for more than 20 years."We are proud to continue meeting and exceeding the standards established by the College of American Pathologists," said Steve Groshong, MD, PhD, Medical Director of the National Jewish Health Advanced Diagnostic Laboratories. "Maintaining these accreditations reflects our team's dedication to providing the highest quality diagnostic testing and reliable results for the physicians, health systems and patients who depend on us."
The CAP Accreditation Committee awarded the recognitions following a comprehensive on-site inspection conducted as part of its Laboratory Accreditation Program, evaluating laboratory operations, quality management systems, testing procedures, staff qualifications, equipment, facilities, safety practices and overall laboratory management. CAP accreditation and ISO 15189 certification are internationally recognized benchmarks for laboratory quality, helping ensure accurate testing, reduce risk and improve patient outcomes.
"The CAP congratulates National Jewish Health Advanced Diagnostic Laboratories on achieving both CAP accreditation and ISO 15189 certification," said Earle S. Collum, MD, FCAP, chair of the CAP Council on Accreditation. "National Jewish Health Advanced Diagnostic Laboratories demonstrates leadership, innovation and a strong commitment to standards of excellence while providing the highest quality laboratory services for patients."
