National Jewish Health Reaccredited as Pulmonary Hypertension Comprehensive Care Center

National Jewish Health first received this distinction in 2020. The rigorous reaccreditation process ensures that programs continue to meet the highest standards set by PHA for diagnosis, treatment, research and patient education. Comprehensive Care Centers must demonstrate the ability to provide expert evaluation and management for pulmonary arterial hypertension, offer Food and Drug Administration-approved therapies, and contribute to advancing the field through research and clinical training.
“This reaccreditation is a true testament to the dedication and expertise of our team at National Jewish Health,” said M. Patricia George, MD, director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program. “Pulmonary hypertension is a complex condition, and our patients deserve the most advanced, coordinated care available. Being recognized again by the Pulmonary Hypertension Association affirms that we are achieving that standard.”
National Jewish Health opened its outpatient pulmonary hypertension clinic in 2012, providing comprehensive care across the spectrum.
“Our goal from day one has been to build the best pulmonary hypertension program in the region,” Dr. George added. “This reaccreditation demonstrates that we continue to provide the highest level of care for our patients while contributing to the advancement of pulmonary hypertension research and education.”
