New York Real Estate and Construction Industries Support National Jewish Health at 43rd Annual Event

DENVER, CO —

New York City’s real estate and construction industry leaders have come together to support National Jewish Health, the nation’s number one respiratory hospital. The fundraising drive will culminate at the 44th annual “A Winter’s Evening” Dinner Dance to be held Dec. 8 in Manhattan. The event also will honor Robert J. Ivanhoe, global real estate practice chair of Greenberg Traurig LLP, which received the prestigious 2010 USA Award for Excellence in Real Estate from Chambers and Partners.
 

Ivanhoe is a preeminent and renowned real estate attorney in New York City and has been practicing law for over 30 years. He is a member of many prominent professional and civic organizations and serves as a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the Urban Land Institute, and is on the advisory boards of The Stoler Report and The Bloomberg BNA Real Estate & Law Report. He sits on the executive committee of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, the Real Estate Lawyers Division of the UJA Federation and the Real Estate Division of Israel Bonds.

Ivanhoe and his wife, Anne, are recipients of the Andrew Glover Youth Program's 2010 Community Service Award. The couple lives in Greenwich, Conn., where they are active in many local community activities.

Donations raised for “A Winter’s Evening” will support The Robert and Anne Ivanhoe Fund for the Research and Care of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Immune-Related Diseases at National Jewish Health. The fund supports the Autoimmune Lung Center at National Jewish Health, which investigates treatments and cures for rheumatoid arthritis, cancer and other immune-related diseases.

Many patients with conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and systemic sclerosis, also have related lung problems and need to be treated by both a rheumatologist and pulmonologist. For those patients, the Autoimmune Lung Center at National Jewish Health is the best center in the world to seek treatment. The Center provides patients with a unique, cross-specialty approach to care. It brings rheumatologists, pulmonologists and other related health care providers together to coordinate evaluation and management strategies.

Leadership for the event reflects the broad support that National Jewish Health has received for decades from the New York real estate community. The dinner chairman is Richard A.
