Statement Regarding the Passing of Longtime and Dedicated Board Member Eddie Robinson

The Board, faculty and staff of National Jewish Health were saddened to learn of the passing of dear friend and devoted leader Eddie Robinson on August 31, 2025.
Eddie was a dedicated leader and active supporter of National Jewish Health for nearly six decades. He served as Chair of the Board from 1986 to 1989, and was elected a Lifetime Board Director in 2003, recognizing his enduring impact on the Institution in good times and in some of the toughest times health care has seen over the decades.
We had the opportunity to honor and celebrate Eddie in 2000 when he served as Beaux Arts Ball Grand Marshal and then again in 2014 when he received the National Jewish Health President’s Award. In 2024, Eddie was the recipient of the highest honor we have, the Arthur B. Lorber Award for Distinguished Service.
Eddie’s generosity to our Institution and so many others benefited thousands of people and patients, hundreds of doctors and researchers, and a multitude of other leaders who have served beside him. He made a difference in our entire community as an indispensable civic leader involved with and supportive of many organizations throughout the city.
During these same years, Eddie, with his brother Dick, helped build and lead the iconic Robinson Dairy, making the family name synonymous with Denver business leadership and earning a place in the Colorado Business Hall of Fame. Eddie and Dick and the Robinson family have made an indelible imprint on the Colorado community.
Most importantly, Eddie was a dear friend to so many. He was kind, with a great sense of humor and always a willingness to offer good ideas and support. His life impacted so many. Eddie was totally irreplaceable. He will be sorely missed.
