Dr. Mora Massad specializes in the care of patients with pulmonary hypertension, right ventricular failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and interstitial lung disease. Her clinical interests include the diagnosis and management of complex pulmonary vascular diseases, invasive hemodynamic assessment with right heart catheterization, exercise physiology, and the care of patients with advanced cardiopulmonary disease.

Her research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of pulmonary vascular remodeling across the spectrum of pulmonary hypertension. She leads translational studies using patient-derived specimens, advanced imaging, and genomic approaches with the goal to identify novel therapeutic targets in pulmonary vascular disease. She also studies right ventricular adaptation and failure using large clinical cohorts and invasive hemodynamic phenotyping to improve risk stratification and identify distinct disease phenotypes that may guide precision medicine approaches.
