COVID-19 Vaccines
National Jewish Health continues to provide vaccine to the public and our patients following U.S. Food & Drug Administration, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Colorado Department of Public Health & Education (CDPHE) guidelines.
First, Second and Booster Doses (Age 18+) – Online Appointments
By online appointment only, National Jewish Health is administering first, second and booster doses of Pfizer vaccine to qualified patients and members of the public ages 18+.
If you are booking a first dose, please book another appointment to get your second shot at least 21 days after your first.
Third-dose booster shots should be booked at least five months after receiving your second dose of Pfizer or Moderna or two months after receiving your Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Fourth-dose booster shots should be booked at least four months after a third-dose booster.
The current recommendation is to receive the same booster dose as the initial (two-shot) series, however mixing vaccine types is allowed. If you initially received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you can get any of the three vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson) as your booster shot. If you received Pfizer or Moderna for your initial series, you can get either Pfizer or Moderna as your booster shot.
Boosters for Immunocompromised Patients – Only with a Physician/Clinic Appointment
By patient appointment only, National Jewish Health is administering third primary doses (sometimes called a “fourth dose”) and booster doses of Pfizer vaccine to qualified immunocompromised patients. Patients must be age 5+; third primary doses are administered 28 days or more after the second primary dose.

Vaccines for Children (Minors Age 6 month – 17 years)
Only with a physician/clinic appointment, National Jewish Health is offering Pfizer COVID-19 for those ages 6 months to 17 years by appointment only. Children MUST be accompanied by parent or guardian for all vaccination appointments. If a parent or legal guardian is not present, we will not be able to administer vaccine to minors. Please plan ahead if care is needed for siblings or pets – you will need to park and come inside for the appointment.
Vaccines for Children (Minors Age 6 Months and Older) – With a Physician/Clinic Appointment
To schedule an appointment with a provider and get a vaccination, call 303.398.1355 or request an appointment through your patient portal account. Children MUST be accompanied by parent or guardian for all vaccination appointments. If a parent or legal guardian is not present, we will not be able to administer vaccine to minors. Please plan ahead if care is needed for siblings or pets – you will need to park and come inside for the appointment.
Vaccines for Children (Minors Age 6 Months and Older) – Without a Physician/Clinic Appointment
To schedule just a vaccine or booster dose appointment, use the link below. Currently, pediatric appointments for just a vaccine or booster dose are available for children 6 months to 11 years old. Children MUST be accompanied by parent or guardian for all vaccination appointments. If a parent or legal guardian is not present, we will not be able to administer vaccine to minors. Please plan ahead if care is needed for siblings or pets – you will need to park and come inside for the appointment.
