What Causes COVID-19 in Children?
The 2019 coronavirus is caused by exposure to droplets from coughs and sneezes or from touching objects that have been contaminated with the virus.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) suggest staying at least six feet away from anyone who appears to be sick. It takes about five days after being exposed to COVID for symptoms to develop. The incubation period ranges from 2-14 days. The CDC updates this estimate as more data become available.
