Brian Vestal, PhD, is a researcher at National Jewish Health. Dr. Vestal is in the Center of Genes, Environment & Health and the Department of Immunology and Genomic Medicine.

Special Interests

Dr. Vestal has expertise in the analysis of genetic and genomic data, quantitative image analysis with applications in computed tomography and emphysema, Bayesian hierarchical modeling, and computational statistics.

Using advanced statistical modeling, Dr. Vestal has created an AI image analysis technology to provide quantitative measurements of Emphysema in Computed Tomography scans. The Emphysema PROfiler™ technology has been supported by Microsoft to provide analysis for collaborators in a secure cloud environment.
