LibraryThe National Jewish Health Main Campus offers many amenities to help make each person's visit more comfortable and convenient. National Jewish Health is a tobacco-free, weapons-free and fragrance-free campus.

People who have questions or concerns about their visit can take advantage of our Patient Representative Program. Parking

National Jewish Health is located on the southwest corner of Colfax Avenue & Colorado Boulevard. Free valet, handicap, patient & visitor parking is available at our main entrance off of Colfax. No parking is available for oversized vehicles such as RVs on our campus. 

Valet parking is available for patients and visitors free of charge. Valet parking is available Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Cafeteria

Patients, visitors, and employees are welcome to dine here and enjoy daily specials and sweet desserts. Please note, the cafeteria does not serve dinner. (Located on the first floor of the May Building in the Perlmutter Dining Center.)

The cafeteria hours are:

  • Breakfast - 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
  • Mid-Morning Snack - 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
  • Lunch - 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Afternoon Snack - 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Coffee Cart  (serving specialty coffees) - 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Coin-operated vending machines are located throughout the hospital. A microwave oven is available in the cafeteria, and may be used free of charge.

 

Gift Shop

Everything you need for any occasion is right here and at the right price at The Jeffrey S. & Mary Ann Brown Gift Shop! And, you can feel good about shopping because all proceeds are used to purchase clinical and research equipment for National Jewish Health. (Located in the Center for Outpatient Health.) Pharmacy

National Jewish Health has an onsite pharmacy to provide prescription services for medications your physician may prescribe during your stay. The pharmacy can process most prescription insurance claims electronically as prescriptions are filled. However, it is the patient’s responsibility to verify prescription benefits with their insurance carriers; and payment can be made using cash, check or major credit cards. Payment is required when prescriptions are filled. The pharmacy staff will be glad to answer any questions you may have regarding your medication or prescription charges by calling 303.398.1582 or visiting the pharmacy located in the main lobby of the Center for Outpatient Health. The pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Laundry and Linen

You will have access to a washing machine and a dryer on the unit. It is essential that you mark your child’s clothing and personal items with his/her full name. Please make sure you understand the operation of the machines (instructions are printed on the sides), and use only unscented, non-enzyme detergents.

 

Library

The Tucker Medical Library is located in the Smith Building, on the main floor near the cafeteria entrance. The Helen L. Rider Health Information Center, located within the library, is available for use by visiting patients and families. Featuring quiet seating and a work table, patrons can find consumer health information related to disorders treated at National Jewish and beyond. The computer center provides Internet access, along with free printing and faxing services. Librarians are available to help patients with expert searching and can assist with Patient Portal account set up, general access questions, and troubleshooting. Leisure reading is provided via a Little Free Library cart, located at the library entrance.

The library hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Security

National Jewish Health maintains a 24-hour security system. A security guard is on the premises at all times and is readily available, responding to all calls and assisting with any security problem you may have. If you have a problem or question concerning security, please inform your nurse, who will then contact the security guard. You may talk to the security guard in private.

All hospital building access is controlled by an electronic security system. Closed circuit TV cameras on patient entrance doors are used in the evenings for your security. A security escort is available as needed. Please contact 303.398.1776 with any questions/concerns. Security guards will also escort patients and families to parking on campus, when requested.
