Smartwatch Monitoring of COPD Symptoms Request More Information Trial Objective The purpose of this study is to identify risk factors that are predictive of COPD exacerbations. Participants will be provided a smartwatch that has sensors to monitor their daily activity, heart rate and other physical attributes. They will need to fill out a daily survey asking about their respiratory symptoms. Results from this study will help researchers develop a system to detect COPD exacerbations using smartwatches. This is a remote study; no clinic visits required. Enrollment Active Clinical Trials Currently Recruiting Who Can Participate Those who have had a COPD exacerbation/flare up in the last year that required treatment with antibiotics and/or prednisone; and those who have a smartphone (iPhone or Android). Age: 45-100 Gender: Any Gender Estimated Time Commitment 1 year × Payments are intended to compensate the participant for their time and effort during the study. Payments are typically given to the participant at the end of each completed study visit. Reimbursements are intended to compensate the participant for travel-related expenses. They must be approved by the study staff and require you to turn in receipts. Travel reimbursement will vary from study to study.
