Investigating a New Treatment for IgE-Mediated Food Allergies

Search Clinical Trials

Trial Objectives

For people living with food allergies, accidental exposure can be a constant concern. The prestIgE clinical trial is evaluating an investigational treatment called RPT904, which is designed to help reduce allergic reactions by targeting the underlying immune response. Researchers are studying whether participants receiving RPT904 can tolerate higher amounts of food allergen during study assessments, while also assessing safety over the study period.

During this study, volunteers will initially be randomly assigned to receive RPT904 or placebo (a medication containing no active ingredient), according to the study design for 24 weeks. After 24 weeks, they will be re-randomized to groups receiving different doses of the study medication. At clinic visits, volunteers will be asked to complete questionnaires about their diet and allergies, receive skin prick tests and food challenges for various allergens, and have symptoms monitored to observe any reactions.
