Heart Failure Specialist Dr. Ankie Amos Joins National Jewish Health

DENVER, CO —

Ankie AmosAnkie Amos, MD, has joined the cardiology faculty at National Jewish Health in the Department of Medicine. She recently came to National Jewish Health from the Alaska Heart & Vascular Institute where she served as Heart Failure Program Director. Dr. Amos has clinical interests in advanced heart failure and transplant, echocardiography and nuclear medicine. She sees patients at both National Jewish Health and Saint Joseph Hospital.

Dr. Amos received her doctoral degree at Duke University School of Medicine. She also completed fellowships in heart failure/heart transplant and cardiovascular disease at Duke University Medical Center. Additionally, Dr. Amos has authored a number of peer reviewed journal articles and abstracts. During her educational training, she served two terms of physician mission work in Kenya and Zimbabwe.
