Annual “Fund to Cure Asthma” Golf Outing Raises more than $176,000 for National Jewish Health

FCTA-2019.jpgEighty golfers teed off at Brae Burn Country Club in Purchase, New York, Monday, Sept. 9, for the 23rd annual National Jewish Health Fund to Cure Asthma Golf Tournament. The event raised more than $176,000 to fund ongoing asthma research at National Jewish Health, the nation’s leading respiratory hospital.

The Fund to Cure Asthma was founded by Nancy & James Berry Hill and Marjorie & Stephen Raphael in 1994 to raise critically important funds for research related to understanding, treating and eventually curing asthma.

Sandy Lewis, a real estate consultant who served as president of Goodstein Management for more than 35 years, received the National Jewish Health Humanitarian Award at the event. Lewis was recognized for more than 20 years of leadership as both chair and chair emeritus of the golf event, and for his ongoing commitment to helping National Jewish Health find a cure for asthma.
