Babe, I want to let you know how absolutely proud I am of you receiving this award.
I can't think of another person that deserves more than you do for all the countless nights
where you don't sleep, all the countless hours that you are dedicated into your work.
You're so driven.
I'm so proud of you.
And going to the future, I just hope that you get some more sleep.
I'm a fan.
Umma, I'm so proud of you.
I knew you would accomplish great things.
I mean, this seems like really big and it is.
And so, I don't know, just always know that I'm here to support you whenever you need
it and just like you were there to support me whenever I needed it and love you.
So Mom or Umma in Korean, I am extremely proud of you for winning this award.
You are an extremely inspiring person to me and I wouldn't even be close to where I am
today without you.
So I thank you for that.
You've done a great job throughout your whole life and I really appreciate you for being
the best mom I could ever ask for and I love you.
A lot of times when people find out I have an older sibling, a common question that comes
up is did you fight a lot when you were growing up?
I'm always proud to say that we in fact did not fight too much and that we had a pretty
good relationship growing up.
I believe a lot of that is attributed to the older sibling and how they handle certain situations.
From a very young age, my sister has always been very convincing and persuasive.
I recall situations growing up where she would ask me if I wanted to clean up all the toys
and naturally I would be kind of against that.
So she would start using negotiations through incentives or praise in order to get a positive
result, offering me candy or saying, don't you want to be the best brother in the world
and who doesn't want that title?
For as long as I could remember, my family, starting from my grandparents, were always
contributing members of society, serving the community through various acts of service,
whether it be creating a Korean school to really reconnect adopted Korean children back
to their Korean heritage and roots.
They would do this through teaching them language, arts, whether it be musical, culinary, or
even dance, and then performing those for local organizations and universities.
At times we would go to nursing homes on the weekends and have these full musical productions
as well.
It is so good to see my sister continuing on that legacy and serving her community through
mission work and really connecting with local and charitable organizations.
I was completely thrilled when I heard of my sister being recognized and honored by
such a nationally reputable organization in national Jewish health.
It is so well deserved and I couldn't be more happy or proud of you.
And to all those members that helped in the decision-making process, you definitely made
the right choice.
Congratulations!
Ever since she could walk, we could visibly see how much she enjoys interacting with people.
She deeply cares and acts upon helping others.
We think she was born for that purpose.
We are so proud of you, Kiyoun, for receiving this amazing humanitarian award from National
Jewish Health Care.
And we are so honored to be your parents and we love you.
Israel Discount Bank is proud to sponsor today's events and we are especially proud with the
recognition of one of our top leaders, Kiyoun, for her commitment and dedication to the community.
Well deserved.
Congratulations, Kiyoun.
I am so proud of my friend Kiyoun Kim for her work on behalf of this incredible organization.
She is a kind, giving, generous person that I am honored to call my friend.
Kiyoun, to know you, everybody would agree, is to love you.
You're the most unusual banker.
When somebody that you trust asks you for a loan, your eyes immediately say, yes, just
give me some documentation, we'll get it out of the way.
But you know, and the customer knows, at least this customer knows, that the job is done.
But much more importantly, I saw you when you came to Israel.
You met the Sheraton, your first trip, I know it's not going to be your last trip.
If half of the Jewish people would be as Zionistic and as loving and appreciative of Israel and
Israelis and what they have done, Israel and the Jewish people would have been bulletproof.
You really understand us.
You really accept us.
You're really one of us.
You know, we are all having a debt of gratitude toward you.
God bless you.
I can't imagine somebody else who is more deserving of an award.
Congratulations, and I am so proud of you.
I have known Kiyoun since spring of 2017 when she first joined the maritime training class.
I can describe Kiyoun in one simple word.
She is a champion with her positive mental attitudes and passion for running.
She just simply makes everyone better.
