Patient Portal Frequently Asked Questions

Make an Appointment

The National Jewish Health Patient Portal provides patients secure online access to their health information.

On May 1, 2023, we switched to MyChart from our current My National Jewish Health patient portal system.

Patient Portal Changes

What changed with the patient portal?

National Jewish Health has partnered with Intermountain Health (formerly SCL Health) to offer MyChart to our patients. MyChart is a patient portal that many health care organizations in the United States use. It has enhanced features that makes it easy to access your health information and receive care from your smartphone, tablet or computer.

On May 1, 2023, we switched from our legacy My National Jewish Health portal to MyChart. All patients, including those with a My National Jewish Health account, need to sign up for MyChart to access your health information and receive care online.

MyChart Features

  • Schedule a visit with a new or existing provider
  • View your health information
  • Communicate with your care team
  • Start a video visit
  • Manage appointments
  • Manage your accounts and payments
  • Access your family’s records with a proxy account

If I have a MyChart account through Intermountain Health (formerly SCL Health), do I need a separate account for National Jewish Health?

If you already have an active MyChart account with Intermountain Health and are a National Jewish Health patient, your MyChart username and password will give you access to your health information for both organizations. Please note that you will only see health information for National Jewish Health clinic visits after May 1, 2023.

Do I need a National Jewish Health MyChart account if I have an account from another health care organization?

Unless your MyChart account is with our partners at Intermountain Health, you do need a separate account for National Jewish Health.

How do I link my National Jewish Health MyChart account to an account with another health care system?

Were my health information and messages from my current My National Jewish Health account transfer to MyChart?

Unfortunately, we were not able to transfer any information – including your username and password – from My National Jewish Health to MyChart. You will need to sign up for a MyChart account on or after May 1, 2023.

To access health information prior to May 1, please request a copy of your medical records by submitting a Release of Health Information form to our Health Information Management department.

How do I access my family's health information through MyChart?
To access a family member's health information through MyChart you will need to request proxy access. Learn more.

Why can't I access my health information prior to May 1, 2023, in MyChart?

Unfortunately, neither our current system nor MyChart allows us to transfer health information between the systems. Your doctor will continue to have access to records prior to May 1, so your care will not be interrupted during this transition.

How do I send a message to my provider in MyChart?

You can send messages in MyChart to providers with who you have had an appointment (in-person or video) in the past year or with whom you have an appointment scheduled within the next 180 days. Click here to download messaging instructions.

If you are having trouble finding your provider in MyChart, please call 303.398.1355, option 4 to get a message to your clinical team.

What is Care Everywhere?
Care Everywhere lets your health care providers securely access your medical record from other health care organizations.

Your National Jewish Health providers exchange information when they need to coordinate care for you. Records are updated automatically between health care providers through the secure Care Everywhere network. Your provider sees your information from other health care organizations right within your medical record. This helps them better and more efficiently meet your health care needs. If you do not want your records shared between health care organizations, you may opt out by completing this form.

Who do I contact if I am having trouble accessing my MyChart account?

Please contact us at 1.303.398.1355, option 5.
