Oxygen therapy is used to normalize the oxygen level in blood during sleep, rest, activity and during acute illnesses in the hospital. There are many diseases and age ranges for which oxygen therapy may be useful.

Airway Clearance Devices

People with some lung conditions, such as chronic bronchitis, emphysema, mycobacterial disease and bronchiectasis often produce a large amount of mucus. If the mucus is allowed to collect in the airways, breathing may become difficult and infection may occur. Airway clearance devices help mobilize mucus from the airways. The Aerobika® and Acapella® are examples of airway clearance devices.
