Admission for New Students
We are glad that you are looking into Morgridge Academy for your child. Below you will find information about the admission process.
To begin the process, we ask that you schedule a school tour with our Medical and Health Coordinator, Amy Schouten. This can be done by calling Amy at 303.398.1934 or emailing her at SchoutenA@njhealth.org. Your child SHOULD come with you for this tour.
At your tour, Amy will provide you with paper copies for a Request of Records. We will need this completed for your child's current school and his/her physician so that we can request all academic and medical records. Please come with the correct contact info (phone or email preferred). At this time, we also will request copies of Birth Certificate, Immunizations, Insurance, and Social Security Card.
Interested families will then complete an online application on one of our computers (or at home if you choose). You can complete this only after the tour. Make sure to keep your account name and password!
After your online application is complete and we have received your child's academic and medical records, we will schedule a time for your child to join us for a 1/2 day of shadowing, followed by academic testing, and a counselor interview with the child and the parent. No prep work is needed for this step! We are simply looking at where your child stands academically and want to get to know them. Free breakfast and lunch will be included for the shadow day—please let Amy know of any special meal accomodations and/or allergies.
Within 2 weeks of your child's shadow day, our team will let you know if your child has been accepted to Morgridge Academy.
Upon acceptance to our school, you will be given instructions for "enrollment" which consists of online consent forms, permission slips, photo release, emergency contact info, etc.
