Rheumatologist Robert Schreiner, DO, Joins National Jewish Health



DENVER - National Jewish Health has welcomed Robert Schreiner, DO, to its Division of Rheumatology. Dr. Schreiner is a board-certified rheumatologist and internal medicine physician with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis, autoimmune connective tissue diseases and other rheumatic diseases.

Dr. Schreiner joins National Jewish Health after practicing at the Colorado Center for Arthritis and Osteoporosis in Denver, where he served as a clinical rheumatologist and equity partner. He brings extensive experience in caring for patients with complex rheumatologic conditions and performing diagnostic and therapeutic musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Dr. Schreiner completed his rheumatology fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia and his bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and psychology, magna cum laude, from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Schreiner is board-certified in rheumatology and internal medicine. He is also certified in diagnostic and therapeutic musculoskeletal ultrasound through the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists and has experience with arthrocentesis, intra-articular injections and infusion center care.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Schreiner conducted research at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Eye and Ear Institute and Pennsylvania State University Hospital. Dr. Schreiner is a member of the American College of Rheumatology. His work has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
