Psychologist Dr. Rachel Tenenbaum Joins National Jewish Health Team

Rachel Tenenbaum, PhD, has joined the Division of Pediatric Behavioral Health at National Jewish Health. Dr. Tenenbaum is a pediatric psychologist whose clinical interests include anxiety, selective mutism, depression, coping with chronic illness, adherence to medical treatments, procedural anxiety, food allergy anxiety, disorders of the gut-brain interaction, behavior problems and parenting strategies. She now sees patients at the National Jewish Health main campus.

Dr. Tenenbaum is a highly accomplished pediatric psychologist. She has authored numerous papers and completed a fellowship in pediatric and clinical psychology at Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, along with internships at Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora, Colorado. 

She received both her Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science degrees focused on clinical science in child & adolescent psychology from Florida International University in Miami. She holds a Master of Arts from the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, Israel, where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Government and a specialization in Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution. In addition, Dr. Tenenbaum holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.

Dr. Tenenbaum comes to National Jewish Health from Parker Pediatrics and Adolescents where she worked as a pediatric psychologist, as well as an assessment psychologist at The Nectar Group.
