Participation Guidelines
If blogs and social networking sites like YouTube and Facebook are new to you, review the comment policy below for guidelines on what is appropriate to post. The Media Center also has the basics on how these tools work and how National Jewish Health has chosen to be involved.
We encourage your comments on National Jewish Health's various blogs and social media sites, and we hope you will join the discussions. However, we cannot respond to every comment. Please do not share personal health information on these sites. We recommend you adjust your privacy settings if you plan to list a health issue within your personal profile. We reserve the right to remove comments that are off-topic or clearly promoting a commercial product as we deem necessary. We also expect a basic level of civility; disagreements are fine, but mutual respect is a must, and profanity or abusive language are out-of-bounds. The more specific rules are found in our detailed comment policy below.
Please remember that when you post a comment to a blog or a social media site, it is published for the world to see. For your own privacy and that of your family, you should consider carefully how much detailed personal medical information linked to your name you want published on the Internet.

Keep in mind that if you post something nice about us, we may use it in our materials to help promote National Jewish Health.
That's the plain English version. Here it is in legal language:
By posting any comments, posts or other material on National Jewish Health-sponsored blogs, you give National Jewish Health the irrevocable right to reproduce, distribute, publish, display, edit, modify, create derivative works from, and otherwise use your submission for any purpose in any form and on any media. You also agree that you will not:
- Post material that infringes on the rights of any third party, including intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights.
- Post material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, slanderous, hateful, or embarrassing to any other person or entity as determined by National Jewish Health in its sole discretion.
- Post advertisements or solicitations of business.
- Post chain letters or pyramid schemes.
- Impersonate another person.
- Allow any other person or entity to use your identification for posting or viewing comments.
- Post the same note more than once or "spam."
National Jewish Health reserves the right (but is not obligated) to do any or all of the following:
- Remove communications that are abusive, illegal or disruptive, or that otherwise fail to conform to these Terms and Conditions.
- Terminate a user's access to the blog feature or social media page upon any breach of these Terms and Conditions.
- Edit or delete any communications posted on the blog feature or social media page, regardless of whether such communications violate these standards.
Finally, you agree that you will indemnify National Jewish Health against any damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs) arising out of a claim by a third party relating to any material you have posted.
