RENEW: Discovering New Treatments for IPF

Search Clinical Trials

Trial Objectives

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a lung condition that causes lung scarring, which means breathing becomes more difficult. This can make everyday activities exhausting and affect the quality of life for people with IPF. There are treatments available that can slow down the worsening of the disease, but there is no cure. In the RENEW research study, researchers are investigating a new drug, called LTI-03, that may reduce scarring and IPF symptoms. The purpose of this study is to determine if this new drug is a safe and effective treatment for people with IPF.

Study volunteers will be randomly assigned to receive either investigational LTI-03 or a placebo (a medication containing no active ingredient). During clinic visits, participants will receive physical examinations, spirometry and ECG testing, as well as a high-resolution chest CT to monitor for changes in symptoms or lung structure.
