Possible New Add-On Treatment for Bronchiectasis
Trial Objectives
Bronchiectasis is a serious respiratory condition where the airways are damaged by infection or inflammation, making it harder to breathe. It currently has only a limited number of available treatments that do not work for everyone with the disease.Researchers in this study are investigating a potentially new medication, called GSK3862995B, which can be added to current bronchiectasis treatments. The study will determine if this new medication is safe and effective, and how the body processes it.
Participants in this study will be randomly assigned to receive one of two doses of GSK3862995B or a placebo (a medication with no active ingredient). During clinic visits, volunteers will complete questionnaires to monitor their symptoms, receive respiratory tests and CT scans, and provide other vital signs to monitor the state of their bronchiectasis.
Who Can Participate
People 18-85 who have a confirmed diagnosis of bronchiectasis.
