Investigational Treatment for PH-ILD

Search Clinical Trials

Trial Objectives

High blood pressure in the lungs, called pulmonary hypertension (PH), can happen in people with interstitial lung disease (ILD). When these two conditions occur together, it is known as PH-ILD.

There are inhaled treatments for PH-ILD, called treprostinil, that can improve exercise ability. However, it needs to be taken three to five times a day. Researchers are studying an investigative treatment of this medicine, called L606, to see if it is effective and tolerable taken two times a day.

In this study, participants will be randomly assigned to receive either L606 or a placebo (a treatment with no active medicine). During clinic visits, participants will complete walking tests, have heart and lung scans  such as echocardiograms and CT scans, undergo a right heart catheterization to measure the pressure inside their lungs , and provide blood samples.

Researchers will use the information collected to find out whether L606 works to improve exercise ability and to monitor any possible side effects.
