By bringing together complementary expertise in biostatistics, bioinformatics, research informatics, and scientific computing, the Data Science Network enables basic and clinical research across the full research lifecycle, from study design and data collection, to data management, storage, retrieval and analysis. We create and maintain shared compute and data storage infrastructure while advancing and deploying innovative computational methods that foster collaboration and support a community of data-driven research across NJH. The three organizations integrated in the Data Science Network include:
Biostatistics: The Division of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics provides support for planning and statistical analysis of observational studies, designed experiments and clinical trials.
Research Informatics & Computing Core (RICC). RICC provides secure data management solutions, clinical data delivery services, and high-performance computing resources that support and accelerate research.
Bioinformatics & Statistical Genomics. As part of the Center for Genes, Environment and Health, we provide study design guidance and analysis expertise for genetic and other omics studies, including transcriptomic studies using whole tissue, single cell and spatial approaches.
