Patricia C. Giclas, PhD, transitions from Director of Complement Laboratory to part-time Scientific Advisor
After a very distinguished career, Patricia C. Giclas, PhD, has transitioned from the Complement Laboratory Director role into her role as a part-time Scientific Advisor to Advanced Diagnostic Laboratories. Dr. Giclas continues to serve as Professor of Allergy and Immunology in the Pediatrics Department at National Jewish Health on a part-time basis, as well.
With the change of roles for Dr. Giclas, Ashley Frazer-Abel, PhD has been named the Complement Laboratory Director. She has assumed all responsibilities for the ongoing scientific and operational functions of the laboratory. Dr. Frazer-Abel earned her PhD in biochemistry from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and completed two post-doctoral fellowships in basic and clinical immunology prior to joining the Complement Laboratory as the Assistant Laboratory Director in 2008.
