Collect in a plain red top or SST tube.

Specimen Preparation

Separate serum from cells immediately by centrifugation and aliquot into a polypropylene or similar plastic tube.
Preferred volume: 1 mL serum

Pediatric Collection

Minimum Volume: 0.5mL serum

Frozen. Send serum Priority Overnight via FedEx and in a well insulated container on dry ice.

Stability

Frozen samples are stable for one month.  Samples stored at 2 to 8°C are stable for one week.
