Description
Measures serum cholesterol, triglyceride, APO B and Lp(a) levels; it includes HDL-C, LDL-C (calculated), total cholesterol. Comprehensive lipid assessment aids in the evaluation of cardiovascular risk and the likelihood of suffering an ischemic event. Onsite [NJH]: Transport to lab within 1 hour.Offsite: Lp(a) is not tested onsite; for testing. send to Quest Diagnostics. Separate serum from cells within 2 hours by centrifuge and aliquot 0.5-1 mL into a labeled polypropylene or similar plastic tube. Transport at Room Temperature (15-25°C).
