Bronchiectasis is a complex and increasingly prevalent condition often overlooked in clinical practice, with frequent overlap with other respiratory diseases such as COPD and asthma. Persistent airway inflammation, chronic infection, and mucus dysfunction drive disease progression, leading to significant morbidity and healthcare burden. As the clinical burden of bronchiectasis becomes increasingly recognized, there is an urgent need to better understand the underlying mechanisms of neutrophilic inflammation, alongside efforts to improve early diagnosis and explore current and emerging treatment options that target this vicious cycle.
This CME lunch symposium, presented by National Jewish Health, will convene a panel of expert pulmonologists to discuss current challenges and opportunities in the evolving bronchiectasis management landscape, including diagnostic workup, airway clearance, management of exacerbations, and current and emerging therapies. Clinical case scenarios and patient perspectives will highlight challenges in bronchiectasis diagnosis and treatment and provide strategies for improving patient-centered care.
