Educational Initiatives
National Jewish Health has developed an online interactive, multimedia program educating providers about the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients living with severe asthma. The online program was developed with our colleagues at Mount Sinai in New York and is designed to extend our reach to health care providers who are unable to participate in our live events, which are organized by the National Jewish Health Office of Professional Education. In addition to the online program, our team has conducted 28 severe asthma programs in 22 cities over the past two years.
In addition, there are also education materials which are constantly being updated and provided to patients and families to allow them to participate actively in decision making.
