The Office of Professional Education (Professional Education) at National Jewish Health strives to create innovative educational activities that assist physicians and health care providers in developing and enhancing their clinical knowledge, competency and skills. Professional Education excels at producing high quality continuing medical education in the areas and diseases that National Jewish Health researches and treats.

ACCMENational Jewish Health has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) since its inception in 1984; in December 2011, National Jewish Health received Accreditation with Commendation from the ACCME. This is the highest level of accreditation through the ACCME and is awarded to providers that demonstrate compliance in all 22 Criteria and the Accreditation Policies. National Jewish Health was commended not only for meeting the ACCME's accreditation requirements, but also for demonstrating that the institution is a learning organization and a change agent for the physicians we serve. Educational Collaborations with Local and Regional Impact

Educational Collaborations with Local and Regional ImpactNational Jewish Health is working with local and regional health networks to address knowledge, competence and performance gaps in the areas of asthma, COPD and atopic dermatitis. Through three educational initiatives supported by GlaxoSmithKline and one by Pfizer, Professional Education provides evidence-based education to more than 200 providers and more than 300 medical staff who treat medically underserved, uninsured and underinsured patients in Colorado.
