NIH Data Management & Sharing Policy

The NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy requires researchers to plan and implement effective data management practices to ensure that scientific data is accessible, reproducible, and reusable. Under this policy, NIH-funded researchers must submit a Data Management and Sharing Plan outlining how data will be collected, stored, protected, and shared throughout the research lifecycle. This promotes transparency, enhances scientific discovery, and fosters collaboration within the research community while ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards for data sharing.
