October is National Medical Librarians Month

Medicine is an information-intensive discipline, and Library and Knowledge Services continues to build partnerships with National Jewish Health faculty, staff, patients, and decision-makers. In observance of National Medical Librarians Month, the staff would like to remind you of the important role of health information professionals. We provides accurate, timely, and trustworthy information to National Jewish patients, researchers and healthcare providers.

In addition to maintaining the library’s print and electronic resources, we conduct database training, customized instruction, professional literature searches, and research consultations with National Jewish Health employees and patients. We are also proud to be recognized as valuable members of professional society practice guideline teams.

Trends in information technology and scholarly publishing present exciting opportunities and daunting challenges. As the landscape of medicine and science evolves, we strive to find a balance between competing interests and limited resources, and to plan for a mutable future. In all the uncertainty, however, one thing remains clear: Librarians will be critical partners in the management of information chaos

We serve as important members of your healthcare or research team. Contact us at x1482, in GB K104.
