Teri Stratton is executive director at Hilco Global and the head of investment banking of Hilco Corporate Finance. She has nearly three decades of experience advising on distressed sell-side mergers and acquisitions transactions, recapitalizations and restructuring transactions, with significant experience in agriculture, food and consumer products.
Before joining Hilco, Teri worked in the special situations groups of Piper Sandler and Macquarie Capital Advisors. Prior to her career in investment banking, Teri had eight years of experience in corporate banking, serving in both credit administration and special assets.
Teri received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). She earned a Master of Business Administration specializing in finance, with honors, from the Anderson School at UCLA. She is a Certified Insolvency Restructuring Advisor and a board member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.
As a lifelong Girl Scout, Teri remains dedicated to community service, and has been on the planning committee of the Los Angeles Black & White Ball for more than a decade. She volunteers for the Los Angeles Food Bank and supports the Lupus Foundation of America and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Southern California.
Teri grew up in a small town in Northern California, where her family was in the grocery business for more than 80 years. An avid hiker, she also loves to ski, golf and travel to new destinations. Teri’s longtime partner, Hamid Rafatjoo, has been her golf partner for many years. Her daughter, Justin, is a wine expert with a Master of Arts in viticulture and oenology.
