Lung Cancer Screening CT Program

The Lung Cancer Screening Program at National Jewish Health focuses on early detection of lung cancer, using a low-dose, painless CT scan. CT screening can find areas of concern before there are any symptoms and when lung cancer can be cured.

Lung Cancer Screening Costs

Lung cancer screening is free. All costs are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and private health insurance companies with no co-pay.

Our radiologists have special expertise in chest and lung imaging, including lung cancer screening.

Lung Cancer Screening Saves Live

The results of the National Lung Screening Trial (NLST), published in 2011, showed that screening high-risk individuals with yearly low-dose CT scans can significantly improve lung cancer survival.

In response to this study, many nationally respected organizations recommend lung cancer screening CTs for high-risk individuals.
