Expedited or Full Committee Review  

The following application process is the same for expedited or full committee review of research involving contact with subjects (except for Requests for Exempt Review).

If unsure whether your research qualifies for expedited review, you may examine the Expedited Review Categories. All research must fit completely within one or more of the categories. If still unsure, you may contact the IRB office or you may prepare two photocopies for full committee review, and the IRB office will determine the appropriate level of review.

If the study qualifies for expedited review, submit the signed original and one (1) copy of all materials. If unsure, please contact the IRB office.

If the study does not qualify for expedited review, submit the signed original and two (2) copies. All packets must be collated.
