Gerber Lab: Resources and Services

The Gerber laboratory is located on the 6th floor of the Goodman building on National Jewish Health’s campus. It is fully equipped to perform molecular biology experimentation. In addition, we have several areas of specific technical expertise and specialized equipment to support our research.

Specialized Techniques

  • Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) and ChIP-seq
  • Analysis of nascent RNA accumulation
  • Fluorescent-protein based transcription assays
  • Culture of primary airway smooth muscle cells
  • Lentiviral and adenoviral mediated gene knockdown and over-expression
  • Design and implementation of medium to high throughput screens

Specialized Equipment

  • Tecan M1000 pate reader
  • Zeiss Axio-observer microscope
  • Bioruptor sonicator
  • Step-one plus qPCR platform
