Saint Joseph Hospital Expands ER Network in Denver

SCL Health recently converted its community hospital locations in Littleton and Northglenn to Community Clinic Emergency Centers affiliated with Saint Joseph Hospital. This transition will allow SCL Health to provide more cost-effective emergency care and also help extend the same quality and value of emergency room (ER) service that one would find at the award-winning Saint Joseph Hospital in downtown Denver.

Originally, the community hospitals offered inpatient and surgical services along with emergency care. However, as the SCL Health network continues to expanded and specialize, it was determined that these convenient ER locations complimented by the full-service hospital offerings of established medical centers like Lutheran in Wheat Ridge, Good Samaritan in Lafayette, Saint Joseph in central Denver and Platte Valley in Brighton, will better allow SCL Health to provide the right level of services, at the right time, in the right location.

“We are thrilled to offer a wider network of emergency care for our patients which allows us to further strengthen our mission and care for even more people in the community,” said Saint Joseph Hospital Chief Operating Officer Barb Jahn.

In addition to providing excellent emergency outpatient care, SCL Health Medical Group will continue to provide primary care and occupational medicine services at the Littleton location to serve the needs of the southwest Denver community. At the Northglenn location, SCL Health Medical Group physicians will continue to provide top cardiology and podiatry care along with endoscopy services through a partnership with Gastroenterology of the Rockies.
