What makes up the FitLogix® program?

Depending on the customization of your program, employees will have access to the following resources:

  • 13 personalized coaching calls to encourage, educate and support healthy lifestyle changes
  • An activity tracker that uploads steps, distance and calories burned to both a mobile app and website dashboard
  • An activity log to track exercise not captured by the activity meter
  • A digital scale that uploads weight readings to both a mobile app and website dashboard
  • Healthy Steps – weekly lesson modules completed throughout the year

What defines enrollment in the program?

Participants are considered enrolled once they complete an intake assessment and agree to participate in the program. During the first two coaching calls, our coaches will assess an individual's motivation and readiness to engage in the FitLogix program. The equipment (activity monitor, scale) required to participate in the program is not shipped until a participant completes two coaching calls and agrees to follow the program as designed.

How long does the program take?

FitLogix is designed for active participation throughout a 52-week period, which leads to higher engagement and sustainable results. Based on the evidence, participants need a minimum of 12 sessions to realize a BMI reduction and sustainable weight loss.

Can FitLogix be customized?

Yes, all participant materials can be branded for an organization. We also work with our clients to customize elements of the programs such as eligibility and data collection, while adhering to the evidence-based guidelines that produce desired results. 

What populations do you target with your weight management program?

FitLogix reaches every population demographic. Please contact us for information on specific populations of importance to your organization.

What type of reporting do you provide? How often? What format?

We offer weekly, monthly and annual reports depending on your enrollment volumes. We report on participant demographics, engagement (as measured by calls completed), patient outcomes, and data like geographic location and referral sources that may be useful for promotional activities.

How is your pricing model structured?

Our pricing is a fee-per-participant model. We invoice for services each quarter, so you're only charged for participants who are enrolled at the beginning of each quarter.

Is Fitlogix a "Reasonable Alternative" as defined by the Affordable Care Act?

Yes. FitLogix fulfills the requirements for a wellness program that is designed to "promote health or prevent disease." Our comprehensive weight management program can be part of either the activity-only or outcomes-based health contingent wellness incentive programs.

What are the education and qualifications of your coaches?

Our coaches are required to have a bachelor's or master's degree in social work, psychology and other behavioral fields, as well as health and wellness fields such as nutrition or fitness, or comparable experience. Coaches complete an in-depth four-week training course and must pass both clinical and program exams before beginning telephonic coaching. The key to good coaching is to select individuals who demonstrate an ability to use motivational interviewing and other behavioral change techniques with participants. We use role-playing during the interview process to identify individuals with this extremely valuable skill set. Our coaches are among the most experienced in the country at providing telephone-based coaching due to the large volume of callers we help every day.

Which participant information can your coaches access?

Our wellness coaches have access to participant information in our case management software, which may include demographic information, health history, medications, past coaching call notes and weight information. All caller records are kept confidential and our telephone, online and text messaging programs are HIPAA compliant. Caller information is only accessible by authorized users, requiring a unique user ID and password.
