Co-Founders & Co-Owners
City Nights Hospitality

Trailblazing entrepreneurs Carrie and Brian Packin are the co-founders of City Nights Hospitality, a trend-defining company dedicated to creating unique nightlife experiences where luxury meets comfort, product meets quality, service meets kindness, and entertainment meets philanthropy.

With Brian leading strategy, sales and growth, and Carrie heading up concept, brand and product development, City Nights Hospitality has created nightlife concepts that have won some of the top awards in the hospitality business — from the Zagat Award of Excellence to the Concierge Choice Award. And with its dedication to giving back, City Nights Hospitality supports pioneering charitable organizations including the Navy SEAL Foundation, Derek Jeter’s Turn 2 Foundation, Children’s Specialized Hospital and National Jewish Health.

City Nights Hospitality is known for New York City lounges that are on the vanguard in everything from cocktail development to creating meaningful experiences. The flagship location, 48LOUNGE — in the lobby of Rockefeller Group International’s celebrated 1221 Avenue of the America development — has been named best lounge in New York. A jewel in The Restaurant and Bar Collection from The Related Companies, Ascent Lounge New York is a groundbreaking hotspot showcasing inventive craft cocktails, small bites and industry-leading events with spectacular views of Central Park and Columbus Circle. The couple has more nightlife concepts in the works.

Carrie and Brian’s evolution into the nightlife business has taken place over decades. Using the skills he honed as a professional baseball player — dedication to perfection, grace under pressure, teamwork, community service — Brian transitioned into a career in hospitality with esteemed nightlife innovators, the Gerber Group. Carrie is recognized for her creativity in business, her sense of aesthetics, and her marketing expertise: talents that helped in her former successful career as a fit model and fashion consultant represented by State Model Management for esteemed global brands like Gap, Banana Republic, Nicole Miller and Ann Taylor, just to name a few. The couple joined forces in 2009 to launch City Nights Hospitality.

After recognizing that their nightlife spaces could be the perfect platform for supporting their personal devotion to philanthropy, Carrie and Brian began partnering with organizations that are making a difference. Using the idea of nightlife with a purpose, they have drawn on their resources and connections to support a greater mission of changing the world.

Community and family are at the forefront of everything that Carrie and Brian do. Philanthropy and giving back are among their core values. Staff, clients and guests are treated like part of an extended family. And the warm and welcoming hospitality that is a hallmark of their business is an extension of the hospitality that they create at home, where they are teaching their two young daughters, Cosette and Elle, the importance of taking care of people and helping others.

Carrie and Brian live by this motto: “You shouldn’t give to get, but if people gave more, they’d be surprised at how much they get.”
