2017 Fund-A-Need

Help Children with Food Allergies

Nearly 6 million children in the United States have food allergies, meaning millions of families live in fear of what the next bite of food may bring. These allergies cause an estimated 100,000 emergency room visits and 150 deaths every year.

National Jewish Health for Kids has been breaking ground for decades in this area of medicine. Our physicians developed the food challenge, the gold standard for diagnosing food allergies. Patients and their families travel to Denver to meet with our team of nationally recognized allergists, nurses, dietitians, therapists and more. Our doctors are researchers, too, so children at National Jewish Health have access to the latest pediatric food allergy clinical trials and most effective treatments.

Fund-A-Need is an exciting opportunity to make a direct donation to support a specific area of need at the institution. This year’s Fund-A-Need will help fund care and research for children with food allergies. Be prepared to raise your paddle for this great opportunity to help children everywhere.
