Special Interests

My special interests include the treatment of complex infections in immunocompetent as well as immune compromised patients, antimicrobial resistance mechanisms and antimicrobial stewardship. I am particularly interested in the development of new molecular tests for rapid diagnosis of infectious diseases in order to better diagnose and treat infections. I also have interests in the development of novel drugs and new treatment regimens for the treatment of tuberculosis as well as nontuberculous mycobacterial infections.
