Cecile S. Rose

Cecile Rose is a pulmonologist and occupational/environmental medicine physician in Denver at National Jewish Health. Dr. Rose specializes in pneumoconiosis, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, silicosis, coal worker's pneumoconiosis and respiratory illnesses affecting post-9/11 veterans. She is the Medical Director for the Colorado Miners Clinic, the Center of Excellence for Silicosis & its Prevention Program and the Center of Excellence on Deployment-Related Lung Disease.

Research Interests

Dr. Rose leads research on mining-related lung diseases including silicosis and coal worker’s pneumoconiosis.  Her research is also centered on respiratory diseases affecting post-9/11 military veterans.  Additional research has been focused on hypersensitivity pneumonitis and sarcoidosis.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Rose has a long-standing interest in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of occupational and environmental lung diseases. She has particular expertise in dust diseases of the lung (pneumoconiosis) and in respiratory illnesses affecting post- 9/11 veterans. She also is experienced in the diagnosis and management of patients with granulomatous lung diseases such as hypersensitivity pneumonitis.
