The Medicine Office of Research (MOOR) was established to provide basic, translational and clinical research infrastructure in the Department of Medicine at National Jewish Health. Led by Brian J. Day, PhD, Vice Chair, the MOOR provides research infrastructure through two sections, the Basic Science Section and the Clinical and Translational Science Section. These sections provide a number of programs aimed at supporting the medicine faculty research endeavors. The long-term goals of these activities are to provide research infrastructure that improves grant funding success rates, fosters better communication and collaboration among the researchers and promotes the linear integration of basic science findings to the clinic.
