The Diversity and Inclusion Council’s members have come together to create an atmosphere at National Jewish Health where all patients and employees feel welcome and respected. Our most visible means for promoting our vision is through direct instruction—two members of the Diversity and Inclusion team deliver curriculum to students in a classroom setting. Those classes are a byproduct of the hundreds of hours of work that has been performed by all of the members of the Diversity and Inclusion team.
Much of this work has taken place in our committees. Each member of the Diversity and Inclusion council, along with some advisory board and executive board members, occupy an active role in these committees. Strategies for marketing/promotions, education, communication, and reward and recognition are formulated in these committees. A listing of the committees and their members are listed below:
