Early Rheumatoid Arthritis Make an Appointment Refer a Patient Ask a Question Make an Appointment Refer a Patient Ask a Question Early Management of Rheumatoid Arthritis The Division of Rheumatology has created a program to shorten the time from referral to appointment for patients with suspected new rheumatoid arthritis (RA), or other rheumatologic diseases with active flare. The program has included the education of medical providers in the Denver community as well as the creation of improved, expedited referral methods into the National Jewish Health Division of Rheumatology. The data produced has shown the direct benefit of a reduction in the time to treatment of patient’s symptoms of RA. Our rheumatology division has been updating community providers relating to the recent advances in rheumatology and treatment methods. National Jewish Health’s rheumatology providers have prioritized appointment times for individuals with suspected early rheumatoid arthritis. Patients with suspected early rheumatoid arthritis and other active flares of rheumatic disease can now be offered timely appointments. There are now multiple ways to refer your patients, or, ask a rheumatology specialist if your patient is appropriate to be referred to National Jewish Health. For any general questions regarding rheumatologic diseases, please contact Rheumline@njhealth.org.
