Target Audience:

Pulmonologists, Primary Care Physicians, Physician Assistants, Advanced Practice Nurses, Registered Nurses, and other health care providers involved in the management of COPD. 

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, the participant will be better able to:

  1. Discuss the key updates from the 2017 GOLD Guidelines and their application to the diagnosis and management of COPD.
  2. Recognize the role of exacerbations in the management of COPD. 
  3. Select appropriate therapies based on the new 2017 GOLD Guidelines for management of COPD.
  4. Review effective communication strategies to improve engagement and self-management for patients.
