Trial Objective

The purpose of this study is to determine if an interactive digital technology (Project EVO) improves brain function in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

Can Interactive Technology Improve Brain Function in Lupus Patients?

SLE is an autoimmune disease that attacks healthy tissue. It can affect the brain, skin, joints, kidneys and other organs. Researchers will compare brain function in SLE patients who interact with Project EVO for four weeks with those who do not.

Who Can Participate

People diagnosed with SLE who have no history of neurological damage (head trauma; degenerative, vascular or metabolic disorder; neoplasm or toxic exposure) , major substance abuse, psychopathology, learning disability, major motor impairment, or high SLE disease activity may be eligible to participate.


Estimated Time Commitment

1 interview, 2 appointments, ~30 minutes of video play over 4 weeks

One 15-30-minute screening phone interview; two two-hour onsite appointments, one month apart; and for patients randomly selected for treatment 30 minutes of Project EVO video play per day for four weeks.
