Dr. Glenn Hirsch Joins National Jewish Health and Saint Joseph Hospital to Lead Cardiology

DENVER — Dr. Glenn Hirsch Joins National Jewish Health and Saint Joseph Hospital to Lead CardiologyGlenn Hirsch, MD, MHS, has joined the faculties at National Jewish Health and Saint Joseph Hospital as the Chief of Cardiology and Director of the Cardiovascular Service Line for both organizations. National Jewish Health and Saint Joseph Hospital are working together under a joint operating agreement to provide care to patients. Dr. Hirsch comes from the University of Louisville where he served as the clinical director of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and the cardiovascular fellowship program director. Dr. Hirsch will oversee growth of the cardiology service line for National Jewish Health and Saint Joseph Hospital. He also will see patients on both the National Jewish Health main campus and at Saint Joseph Hospital, as well as covering on-call at other SCL Health locations.

Dr. Hirsch received his medical degree at Loyola University Chicago – Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan and his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital and the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute followed by a master’s degree in cardiovascular epidemiology at The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Prior to his appointment at University of Louisville, Dr. Hirsch worked at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where he led local, national and international educational program development, participated in numerous cardiovascular imaging research projects and co-authored numerous publications.
