Beaux Arts ‘Bollywood’ Ball Benefiting National Jewish Health Will Heat Up Denver on Feb. 24
Morgridge Family Foundation Is Presenting Sponsor of 21st Annual Black-Tie Gala
FEBRUARY 07, 2018
DENVER — The famous Bollywood film industry will serve as the backdrop for the Feb. 24 Beaux Arts “Bollywood” Ball at the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center. The vibrant theme will transport more than 1,200 attendees to India where they will delight in the energetic music, vibrant colors and high-spirited dance performances of Bollywood. The annual gala is presented by Morgridge Family Foundation and benefits research and care at National Jewish Health, the nation’s leading respiratory hospital.
Eight of Denver’s most prominent business leaders will join the prestigious group of Beaux Arts Ball grand marshals, honored for their business, community and philanthropic leadership. Serving as the 2018 grand marshals, are Michelle and Mike Fries, with Liberty Global; Gail Klapper, with Colorado Forum, and Jack Klapper, with Mile High Research Center; Karen and Michael Long, with Arrow Electronics; Susan Juroe and former National Jewish Health President Michael Schonbrun, with Balfour Senior Living.
Helping Children Breathe Easy
The Beaux Arts Ball is the largest fundraising event for National Jewish Health in Denver. Each year, the black-tie gala raises $2 million or more to benefit patients with respiratory, cardiac, immune and related diseases and to support groundbreaking research conducted at National Jewish Health.
Guests at the Beaux Arts Ball will have the opportunity to help the youngest patients at National Jewish Health through this year’s Fund-A-Need reverse paddle-raising program. Every day, millions of children struggle to breathe because of lung disease. Many other children go from doctor to doctor trying to find out why they can’t breathe.
The National Jewish Health Silverstein Family Department of Pediatrics draws children and families from all over the world. There, they receive care from world-renowned pediatric specialists who are setting the guidelines in respiratory medicine. Gifts to this year’s Fund-A-Need will enable these physicians to continue to treat all pediatric patients with lung conditions, regardless of their ability to pay, and conduct groundbreaking research to help children breathe easier.
Event Leadership and Sponsors
Joining the grand marshals as leaders of the 2018 Beaux Arts Ball are Co-Chairs Karen and John Ikard, Wendy and Jimmy Miller, and Suzanne and Lee White.
Major sponsors in addition to the Morgridge Family Foundation include Bollywood Sponsors Sage Hospitality and Christie and Walter Isenberg; Visionary Sponsor Katherine Gold; and Jewel of India Sponsors Arrow Electronics, Karen and Michael Long, Liberty Global, and Michelle and Mike Fries. Anne and Rich Baer are the event’s platinum sponsor.
